Established in 2002 by Laurel Hodgdon, Mountain Laurel Designs offers fine art in oil, pastel and charcoal including Custom Pet Portraits. I discovered a love for drawing in my teen years and painting in later years. Though I have had some formal training most of my skills have been achieved through trial, error and expiramentation. I have worked with many meduims and come to enjoy oils and pastels which most of my work is now created in. The simple joy of painting combined with my love of nature and animals inspires my much of my work.
